Danielle Vines continues to make her mark around the south in junior tennis.
The sophomore from Elizabethton recently played outstanding in an ITF Tournament in Greensboro and also won a Southern level tournament in 18s in Charlotte on clay.
The recent swing through the Tar Heel state was a good measuring stick for Vines, who currently holds a No. 1 southern ranking in 14s — but plays a lot of tournaments ahead of her age group.
“I have been playing really well,” Vines said. “The ITF tournament was against college players and the Charlotte tournament I was able to win on clay by using a lot of backhand slices.
