Federal judge sends Elizabethton man to prison on drug charge

Ronald E. Paris Jr., 24, of Elizabethton was sentenced Wednesday by Judge J. Ronnie Greer in U.S District Court in Greeneville. He was ordered to serve five years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base, more commonly known as “crack.” Paris had pleaded guilty to the charge in January.
