Elizabethton High School will celebrate Homecoming tonight, with four seniors vying for the Homecoming Queen’s crown.
Festivities will include a parade through downtown before the football game. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and will proceed from the Monument to the football stadium at T.A. Dugger Junior High School.
The homecoming game begins at 7:30 p.m., with Elizabethton taking on Jonesborough’s David Crockett High School.
During the game, the 2013 EHS Homecoming Queen will be crowned. Candidates, all from the senior class, are Kayla Andrews, Sarah Bradley, Karter Geagley and Sydney Whitehead.
• Andrews is the daughter is John and Shonda Andrews; she will be escorted by McKenly Berry, son of Michelle Berry-Smith and Michael Carpenter.
• Bradley is the daughter of John and Angel Bradley; she will be escorted by Derek Nunley, son of Jennifer Ray.
• Geagley is the daughter of Matt and Chris Geagley; she will be escorted by Luke Hughes, the son of Michelle Johns and Butch and Lorrie Hughes.
• Whitehead is the daughter of Terri and Leslie Whitehead; she will be escorted by Lucas Reed, son of Clinton and Mary Reed.
Before the game, the annual Bean Supper will be held at TAD from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for eat-in orders and 4 to 6:30 p.m. for carryouts.
Several class reunions have also been planned for the weekend.
