A 2010 candidate for sheriff has switched his focus and now wants to be the next Carter County Circuit Court Clerk.
Frank Peters, 56, officially wants citizens to know they can expect to see his name on the Republican primary ballot in May.
“I recently retired from law enforcement,” he said. “35 years was long enough.”
Peters is determined to secure a position serving the citizens of Carter County, which is where he grew up.
“I live in Stoney Creek,” he said. “I’ve lived here my whole entire life.”
Peters worked in law enforcement from 1978 until his retirement on Jan. 2.
