Golfers throughout Southeast play Norman tournament

For the sixth consecutive year, friends and family came out to play some golf and honor a great person at the Elizabethton Golf Course.
The Nathan Norman Memorial Golf Tournament was held Friday to raise money for scholarships for Elizabethton High School student athletes, but more importantly to pay respect to a man that affected so many lives all over the region.
Norman was one of the best high school basketball players ever at Elizabethton High School in the early 1990s and then he went on to play at what is now called USC-Upstate, but his legacy was really felt in the town of Abingdon, Va., where he was active in many types of community sports and kids lives until his death in 2007.
