Hampton spread its scoring out like a week’s washing on Friday, then went on to “clothesline” North Greene.
Eleven players marked in their 61-37 victory inside of VanHuss-White Gymnasium.
Tristan Robinson’s 19 points and 13 rebounds stood out, and so did the baker’s dozen and five steals provided by Coby Jones. But the other 31 points were shared by nine different players — which caught the eye of head coach Ned Smith.
“Our depth is important because when we sub, we’re not losing anything,” Smith said. “That allows us to stay in our press and apply pressure with fresh players. That’s a big key for us right now. We’ve got a lot of players getting a lot of touches.”
