BAILEYTON — Hampton put up some big numbers in all three phases of the game in rolling to a 39-20 Mountain East Conference road victory over North Greene here Friday night.
The Bulldogs’ offense rolled up nearly 350 total yards. The defense had three interceptions, all which led to touchdowns. On special teams, the Bulldogs had a handful of returns for big yardage that resulted in good field position most of the night.
“We moved the ball real well,” said Hampton coach Mike Lunsford. “We let up there a little bit at the end. We had our second unit in and did some things, but you want those guys to play. They gave up a touchdown, and then we ended up giving up another one on a short drive. We just have to keep working and get a little mentally stronger at times.”
