Hampton man pleads guilty to driving drunk on lawnmower

A Hampton man who police said drove a lawnmower along Highway 19E in Hampton has pleaded guilty to second-offense DUI.

Randy Pritchard, 40, 5346 Highway 19E, Hampton, appeared before Judge John Walton Tuesday in General Sessions Court. He pleaded guilty to second-offense DUI and was ordered to serve 45 days in the Carter County Jail. Walton released Pritchard from custody on his own recognizance and ordered him to return to jail Oct. 8 to serve his time.
