In this Christmas season, caroling is a popular thing to do and one of many carolers favorite songs is “Silent Night.” However, on Tuesday night at VanHuss-White Gym, the name of the tune was Silent “Knight” as both Hampton boys and girls’ teams each were victorious over the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights.

The boys featured 16 points each from guard Cody McClain and post Stanley Valentine as the Bulldogs got past C-D 61-55, and the girls, led by Alexis Bowers 23-point effort, took a 64-59 win.

Hampton (9-3 overall) led throughout the first half due to torrid three point shooting by wing Wesley Murray who hit 3 of 4 from downtown in the half and was 3 of 5 for the game.

Murray scored 15 points to back the efforts of Valentine and McClain and the ’Dogs took a 33-26 halftime lead.
