Two rock-solid efforts propelled Hampton to a pair of wins over Rockwood inside of VanHuss-White Gymnasium on Saturday. The boys created a heat wave with some red hot shooting to win going away 71-48. The Lady Bulldogs played well in their 57-41 victory.
In the late contest, the frigid temperatures outside were just the opposite of what Hampton’s shooting was on the inside. The Dogs shot 60 percent, hitting 29-of-48 shots for the game.
Three treys by Cheyenne Camillo and one from Cody McClain got them off to a fast start. It was 5-0 before the Tigers ever scored.
Rockwood entered the game at 9-3 but could never get close to the Lady Bulldogs.
Hampton sprinted out to a 15-3 lead and held the Lady Tigers without a field goal during the first quarter.
