Happy Valley takes down John Battle

A couple of breaks made the difference.
Happy Valley made the most of a bases-loaded situation in the fourth inning, pushing across three runs to outlast John Battle 3-1 Friday evening at Cannon-Gouge Park.
“We didn’t have it offensively today, but our guys finally bought in and battled,” said Warriors coach Caleb Moore. “When you put the ball in play good things will happen. It’s happened to us and luckily the tides turned today, we put pressure on them and got a few runs.”
Trailing 1-0 and struggling against Trojan starter Seth Cunningham, who had a perfect game through three, it took a break in the field to get the juices flowing for the Warrior battery in the bottom of the fourth.
