Highlanders fall short vs. CAK

JOHNSON CITY — It was the most wonderful time of the year for area high school basketball teams looking to get in some early games before the start of Christmas break.

Saturday marked the second day of the Doubletree Roundball Classic at Science Hill.

Some “Ball in the Hall” nearly saw Cloudland High School pull off an upset against a heavily-favored AA school down in Knoxville.

Zac Potter led the Highlanders with a game high 24-point effort, but it would not be enough to hold off a late rally by Christian Academy of Knoxville, which propelled the Warriors over the Highlanders 72-61 in front of a packed gym.
