Cloudland’s Gary Harrison has been looking for a full four quarters from his squad the past few weeks. On Tuesday night, the first-year coach saw his squad go the distance in a big way.
The Highlanders pulled away to a 13-point lead after a quarter of play and never looked back as they rolled to a 72-57 victory over Unaka inside Sonny Smith Gymnasium.
“Our kids played really hard,” Harrison said. “You have to play hard against a team like Unaka. They have a lot of great players. Coach Dugger does a great job and I have a lot of respect for him. Our kids know against Unaka you have to play the whole time because, if you don’t, we’ve seen in the past with a player like Carrier no lead is safe. Our kids know that and they have done a really good job executing all night.”
