HOSA students planning Hampton Homecoming Parade


Members of the Hampton High School Health Occupations Students of America are making plans to hold a parade to kick off homecoming events this year.

The second Hampton Homecoming Parade will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, at Hampton Elementary School, merge onto First Avenue and end at HHS.

The organizers are accepting entries for the parade. Cars, all-terrain vehicles and clubs can participate for $10. Trailers and floats, or large groups, can participate for $20. Those wishing to be eligible for the “Best Float” contest are asked to pay an additional fee of $5.

The parade is planned as a community event. All churches, businesses and civic clubs are welcome.
