The weather outside of Steve Lacy Fieldhouse was cold and snowy. But on the inside coach Bill Robinson’s Buffaloes were flaming hot, shooting lights out against a good Tennessee Wesleyan College team.
Milligan took down the Bulldogs 95-83 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Saturday.
The Buffs shot 56 percent (18-of-32) in the first half and held a 50-37 lead at intermission. Robinson thought that was the key factor in the win.
“Our defense has been really good,” he said. “Field -goal percentage in the first half was the difference. We both took the same amount of shots but we had six more field goals than they did. That’s a huge difference.”
