Injury overshadows Cyclones’ action on mat

Elizabethton’s wrestling team dropped a pair of matches on Tuesday night at Treadway Gymnasium.

But that wasn’t the point of concern afterwards. In the opening loss to Jefferson County, the Cyclones’ Stephen Frazier was slammed at 182 pounds.

He left the gym on a stretcher and was transported to Sycamore Shoals Hospital with a back injury. Coach Jeff Nye and his team were headed to the emergency room after losing the second match to Volunteer.
