Interviews to begin soon for Chamber director

The interview process will soon be starting for the new director of the Elizabethton Carter County Chamber of Commerce. Carter County Tomorrow President Tom Anderson updated the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors about the search process during their meeting on Thursday afternoon.

Anderson said that 50 resumes were submitted for the position of Chamber of Commerce Director. He said that 10 individuals would be going through the first round of the interview process starting on Aug. 24. The Chamber has been without a permanent director since former director Felicia English resigned in May. Tourism Coordinator Annika Hampton has been acting as interim director.
