Carter County’s business leaders were encouraged to invest in opportunities for growth during the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Annual Dinner.
During the annual dinner, outgoing Chamber President Chandrea Shell praised Carter County for the many positives already in place in the region and encouraged business leaders to keep working together to reach their goals. She also congratulated the Chamber of Commerce for another successful year while economic conditions are still recovering.
“We have had much to celebrate this year,” Shell said. “Regionally, we are holding strong. I am encouraged by the economic opportunities that are presenting themselves to the area.”
She also pointed out the Chamber had appointed a new executive director, Tonya Stevens, in the past year. Shell described Stevens as a “professional and competent” director.
“The Chamber is poised to grow,” Shell said.
