Johnson County seeks man wanted on meth trafficking charges

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department and federal agents are searching for a Trade man wanted on federal indictments for drug trafficking.

According to information released Friday by the sheriff’s department, “Operation Dixie Crystal” netted 30 men and women charged with methamphetamine trafficking and firearms offenses in Johnson County and Ashe, Allegheny, Caldwell, Watauga and Wilkes counties in North Carolina, but Larry Mitchell Snyder is still wanted by police.

According to the sheriff’s department, the 59-year-old Trade, Tenn., man faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years to life.

Anyone with information regarding Snyder’s whereabouts is asked to call the federal tip line at 1-866-DHS-2-ICE or the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department at 727-7761.

A reward has been offered for information leading to his arrest.
