July 5 meeting of Industrial Development Board cancelled

The Carter County Industrial Development Board has announced their meeting, which was scheduled for this Thursday at 10 a.m., has been cancelled. Industrial Development Board Secretary Carol Chase informed the STAR that this week’s session has been cancelled because several members will be unavailable to attend due to the Independence Day holiday.

The board is scheduled to meet again on Thursday, Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. at the Carter County Workforce Development Complex, 300 Highway 91.

The newly appointed members of the Industrial Development Board will be introduced at the August meeting. Earlier this spring, the Carter County Commission approved the list of new IDB members. The ten members of the Industrial Development Board are appointed by the county commission to serve three-year terms.
