Jury finds man guilty of paying girl to strip

A Carter County jury found Leslie Dean Ritchie Jr., a convicted sex offender, guilty Monday of paying a girl to strip to her underwear and expose her breasts.

 

The 14-year-old girl, who was 12 at the time, told the jury in Carter County Criminal Court that Ritchie paid her small amounts of money, on at least 30 occasions, to strip to her underwear as he watched. The girl said she and her mother, Ritchie’s former girlfriend, had been living with the man at the time at his Carter County residence.
