BRISTOL — In 10 years of Sprint Cup racing, Kasey Kahne has looked the part of both title contender and pretender.
Sunday, the Hendrick Motorsports driver made an early statement as a challenger for the 2013 crown at Bristol Motor Speedway taking the checkered flag at the Food City 500.
“This is a big race for me,” said Kahne. “I just feel like when you’re racing in the Sprint Cup Series, Bristol’s one of those tracks that as a driver you really feel like you need to win at, you want to win at. There’s so many things that are thrown at you when you come to this place.
