Keselowski grabs early lead in points race

BRISTOL — Winless thus far this year, the reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion is nonetheless back atop the point standings.
Brad Keselowski recorded a third-place finish in Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, and the Ford driver left the concrete oval with a nine-point advantage over Dale Earnhardt Jr. through the circuit’s first four stops.
“Obviously, we’re off to my best start ever,” Keselowski said. “That’s really cool. I’m happy for my team.
“I think we know as a team what we need. There’s a question as to what we need as a sport, but I think we’ve got a pretty good handle on it with the 2 team.”
