JOHNSON CITY —The East Tennessee State Lady Bucs took to the court against Lipscomb Saturday at the MSHA Athletics Center with hopes of capturing back-to-back wins for the first time since capturing an exhibition victory against Young Harris on Nov. 5.
Those hopes quickly morphed into realities as the Lady Bucs topped the Lady Bison 86-64.
The Lady Bucs were hot out of the gate from the perimeter — they downed just under 50 percent of their field goals in the first half) — and consistent in the lane and on the glass down the stretch in the first half. Two treys apiece from point guard Shawn Randall (9 pts.) and shooting guard Cara Bowling spurred on a 15-2 ETSU run in the first five minutes.
