Lady Buffs subdue Skyhawks

Milligan used a balanced scoring attack and a defensive effort that forced 26 turnovers to ground the Point University Lady Skyhawks 71-46 tally in Appalachian Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon in Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
Senior post Dorian Freeman opened the contest with a trey and led all scorers with 15 points as the Lady Buffaloes opened a 38-21 halftime bulge and were never threatened from there.
Milligan (15-7) now has a two-game win streak in AAC play and a league-leading 8-1 record — 7-2 at home this season — while Point (3-17) – an AAC newcomer, joining last season – fell to 1-8 in conference play.
