The “jaws of defeat” was about to swallow up Tennessee Wesleyan until their two “Bs” came to the rescue.
Shira Buley’s layup out of a timeout with 7.1 seconds remaining allowed the Bulldogs to escape with a come from behind 64-63 win over Milligan inside of Steve Lacy Fieldhouse on Saturday.
It was a damaging loss for the Lady Buffaloes, who fell to 9-4 in the conference and 14-8 overall. Wesleyan remains in first place with a 10-3 conference mark, 14-3 overall.
