There were some electrical problems at VanHuss-White Gymnasium Saturday afternoon. The main issue was the Hampton ladies shooting the lights out of the entire place.
Hampton cxcelled from the perimeter, turning in nine treys, and the Lady Bulldogs owned a game that was in doubt for about four minutes. The final result was a 61-24 cruising over Providence Academy.
Despite looking sluggish out of the gate, the Lady ’Dogs began to rally around their perimeter attack late in the first quarter. An Alexis Bowers trey at the three-minute mark of the first stanza pushed the Hampton lead to 10 and firmly established the powder blue dominance.
