Lady Bulldogs keep it going

AFTON — North Greene’s bid to reach the state tournament, for the second time in three years, has been spoiled by “Hampton’s Heartbeat.”
On Monday night, Danielle Guinn’s superior play in the final stanza allowed the Lady Bulldogs to reach the championship game with a come from behind 36-31 win over the No. 8 Huskies.
Saving her best for last, Guinn scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in the final stanza that allowed the Lady Bulldogs to pull off the upset with all-state candidate Dorothy Dugger still out after last week’s leg injury.
