Controlling every phase of play from the three-point make to the bench point, rebound and steal, the third-ranked Elizabethton Lady Cyclones capped a perfect regular-season conference slate in style.
The Lady Cyclones, behind five double-digit scorers, cruised to an 84-42 senior night victory on Tuesday over Sullivan South at Treadway Gymnasium.
“I just told them how proud I was of how they came out tonight, how hard they played and how unselfish we’re playing,” said Elizabethton coach Len Dugger, whose team improves to 21-3 on the year and enters the District 1-AA Tournament with the top seed after a 12-0 league mark. “We’re sharing the ball really well. … It’s just a huge tribute to those girls in there and the way they’ve worked hard and been committed to being better.”
