Happy Valley was sitting pretty with a three-run lead and just one hit allowed. With two swings of the bat, however, all of that momentum fell by the wayside.
Two-run homers from Danielle Loving and Reazyn DeMoss helped Elizabethton overcome an error-plagued start and hold serve at home with a 5-4 Three Rivers Conference win over the Lady Warriors in a battle of two of the league’s top three teams.
“You can’t take anything away from them, they hit the ball well and so did we after about the fourth or fifth inning,” said Elizabethton coach LeAnne Click. “Danielle and Reazyn pulled through and had some big at-bats. I’m proud of them and glad they pulled through.”
