Lady Cyclones subdue second-place Patriots

The Lady Cyclone offense got off to a slow start, but the defensive effort never lags with this group as Elizabethton won convincingly on Thursday night at Treadway Gym.

Sophomore forward Kayla Marsoites had 25 points and six steals as EHS won going away 53-29 over Sullivan East in a Three Rivers Conference match pitting the first place Cyclones against their closest competitor.

EHS (9-0, 18-3) forced the Lady Patriots into 17 turnovers which included 13 steals – six of those by Marosites.
