The goal for the Lady Highlanders was to start quickly. Unfortunately for Unaka, it wasn’t able to keep pace early.
Cloudland used an opening 12-2 run to take an early lead and pull away to a 77-36 victory over Unaka on Tuesday night inside Sonny Smith Gymnasium.
“I felt like starting the game was something that we have been struggling at, and we have been focusing on coming out ready and prepared,” Cloudland coach Matt Birchfield said. “I felt like we did that tonight, and it got us started well. Unaka is a team that always can shoot and has good players so you have to come out ready to play.”
For the Lady Rangers, starting quickly has also been an issue the past couple of games, and was once again an issue on Tuesday.
