Lady Highlanders subdue Knights

By Logan Lawson

It took a quarter for the Lady ’Landers to start clicking on all cylinders. Once they did, it was all Cloudland.

The ’Landers saw 10 players score as they endured a sluggish start before embarking on a 31-4 run over two quarters to roll to a 53-22 victory over Providence Academy on Friday night.

“I thought we started a little slow coming off last night’s game,” CHS head coach Matt Birchfield said. “We were a little flat, but I felt like our defense took over. We held them scoreless for a long time. We played well down the stretch. I thought our kids coming off the bench played really well and gave us some good minutes which is good.”
