Lady Jr. Rangers beaten by UH in overtime

By Collin Brooks

JOHNSON CITY—Four quarters wasn’t enough to contain the rivalry between Unaka and University High. It took an overtime for the Lady Jr. Bucs to defeat the Lady Rangers 54-47 in Brooks Gym on Friday night.

Unaka head coach Wes Wright wished there was more time, in regulation.

“I would of loved for there to of been about 20 more seconds in regulation,” Wright said. “Because we had all the momentum in the world, we had finally got into a groove and found something that worked.”
Unaka’s Brandi Ensor made a contested lay-up with 2.8 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.
