Getting productive minutes from all 11 members of its roster, Happy Valley opened the Ramey Ford Thanksgiving Classic on its home floor in style.
Building an 11-point first quarter lead and not allowing a field goal for the first five minutes of the second quarter, the Lady Warriors built a 22-point halftime lead and coasted to a 67-47 win over Cherokee Wednesday night at Bayless Gymnasium.
“I got some good minutes from everybody tonight,” said Lady Warriors coach Larry Abel Jr. “All eleven played and that’s always a good thing. I’ve got a deep bench and they came in and didn’t let up. I think that wore Cherokee out because they’re not as deep.”
