COLONIAL HEIGHTS — Aggressive play can certainly be a double-edged sword at times.
Such was true for the Happy Valley Lady Warriors Tuesday afternoon in Death Valley.
The Lady Warriors’ strong defense forced overtime against a quick and long Lady Rebels team after trailing the majority of the game.
But once overtime began, Happy Valley’s over-aggressive defense drew foul after foul which led to the Lady Rebels connecting on 14-of-16 free throws and ultimately gaining a 59-49 Three Rivers Conference win.
In the boys’ action, Sullivan South dismantled Happy Valley 78-51 to drop the Warriors to 1-12 on the season.
