Landfill and Utilities Committees announce location change for Thurs. meetings

The Carter County Commission’s Landfill Committee has announced a location change for their meeting this Thursday morning. Landfill Committee Chairman and County Commissioner Joel Street said due to a scheduling conflict, the committee was unable to secure their normal meeting location at the mayor’s conference room inside the courthouse.

The committee will instead hold their meeting at the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce conferene room beginning at 10 a.m. this Thursday.

Immediately following the meeting, the Carter County Commission Utilities Committee will also hold a session. Utilities Chairman Pat Hicks and Street agreed to the decision since many of the commissioners serve on both committees.

Both meetings are open to the public.
