The opportunity to play college basketball at a high level is something that many high school players dream about. But often the road getting there can be a hard one.
That’s the case with Unaka’s Billy Bales and Elizabethton’s Michael Wagner, but it hasn’t stopped the pair from chasing their dream. Both players chose the prep school route in their quest to land a good college basketball scholarship.
Bales and Wagner are currently teammates at Moravian Prep School in Lenoir, N.C. Bales (6-2) and Wagner (6-9) are starters on a talented team of a dozen players who comes from several different states.
