Monday cannot come soon enough for Carter County spring sports programs.
After months of conditioning and preparing without having official organized practice, all that will change on Monday when the official start of practice for all area high school spring sports begins.
One program that a lot of people in the area have their eye on this year is the baseball team at Happy Valley, a squad that in just a couple of years has gone from bottom feeder of the Three Rivers into a legitimate title threat under head coach Caleb Moore.
The excitement this program has right now definitely has Moore and the Warriors ready for the new year.
“We are ecstatic,” Moore said. “We are like caged animals ready to get started.”
