Local seniors concerned about Medicare, Social Security

Like most Americans, Elizabethton seniors have concerns about Social Security and Medicare. Most do not consider it as an entitlement since every payday when they were working, they paid into the Social Security and Medicare systems. They see it as a return on that money.

The STAR this week polled several citizens on issues that were important to them this election, and most did voice concerns about Social Security and Medicare. However, there were also concerns about the economy.
