Long-range planning team meeting rescheduled for July 27

The Carter County Schools Long-Range Facilities Planning Team meeting originally scheduled for Friday, July 20, has been postponed until next week. LRPT Team Facilitator and School Board member Jerry McMahan told the Elizabethton STAR the meeting was moved back by one week to allow as many members to attend as possible. The group is expected to review an initial copy of their strategic report on the future of Carter County Schools at the meeting. The session will be held on Friday, July 27, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Carter County Schools Central Office board room, 305 Academy Street in Elizabethton. McMahan encourages the public to attend the meeting to learn more about the preliminary report.
