Longhorns’ Henson commits to Buffs in track & field

MOUNTAIN CITY — Jacob Henson did it a little bit differently, but he lived up to the family legacy.
Henson, the son of former Johnson County all-state football player Bo Henson, has been a champion track and field athlete for the Longhorns the last four years — and last Friday he signed a letter of intent to continue his track career at Milligan College here in Elizabethton.
Henson started out playing basketball for the Longhorns and the last three years he has narrowed it down to golf, baseball and track and field. It will be track that he will run at the next level.
