With fall wrapping up, today is the most special day of the year to this sports writer and radio personality.
This year though, Thanksgiving day has more meaning to me than just eating turkey legs and watching NFL football and college basketball tournaments on TV. As a matter of fact, sports have a totally different meaning to me this year after events of the past few months — and now I care more about the people who play than I do who wins the games.
A lot of people these days are struggling to get by. People are worried about their jobs, their health care and just being able to afford to put food on the table for that special feast on Thanksgiving Day.
