Man charged with vehicular homicide in Milligan crash

The Carter County grand jury has indicted a local man on vehicular homicide charges in the death of his passenger in an Aug. 14 crash on the Milligan Highway.

Micah Cates, 20, turned himself in to authorities Tuesday on the grand jury indictments, which charged him with vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular homicide by conduct creating substantial risk of death and DUI. He is to appear in the next available session of Carter County Criminal Court.
