Gospel Music comes alive on Friday, Aug. 3, at Ross N Robinson Middle School, 1517 Jessee St., Kingsport. The concert starts at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.
Gospel Music fans will be excited again as Michael Combs takes the stage to headline this gospel event. Known and followed by many fans, Michael never lets them down as he brings his exuberant love for Jesus to the stage. He is known for his tremendous excitement and songs that he has written like, “Not For Sale,” that is a must sing at every performance. Another requested song each night is “Drinking From My Saucer” that Michael has made popular. Michael’s greatest fan and encouragement comes from his wonderful wife, Denise. Although in the background, Denise is a very important part of the ministry. Their goal together is to see many souls brought to Christ. Michael says, their biggest blessing comes from watching others give their hearts to Jesus. He says, “That’s what really cranks my tractor.”
Along with Michael Combs, The Browders will bring their heartfelt music to the stage touching hearts throughout the night. They have achieved so much in the past few years including three number one songs on the gospel charts. The group is made up of Tommy Browder, who has been a light in the gospel music field for many years, sons Matthew and David, and Matthew’s wife, Sonya, along with Sonya’s brother on drums.
YoungSong will also appear and are the ones responsible for this special event as a part of Lighthouse Productions and Magnify Ministries. They also write and perform their original songs and minister across the country with a combined desire to know the presence of God is in their meetings.
