Milligan at 7-1 after sweep of Wise

Milligan College’s baseball team not only avenged its lone loss of the young season, but recorded its seventh straight victory on Tuesday.
The Buffs swept Virginia-Wise in a non-conference doubleheaders at Anglin Field. Milligan prevailed by 11-4 and 10-1 decisions.
“It’s a long season still yet, but anytime you can start out seven and one you take it and go,” Milligan coach Nathan Meade said. “It’s good to get a little momentum going early in the season, finally. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve had some momentum, so maybe we can get this thing rolling then.”
Blake Buck batted 2 for 4 with three RBIs in the opener. Sam Tarlton went 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs.
