Milligan avenges loss to Selma U.

It was a completely different story this time around.

Milligan’s men took Selma (Ala.) University to school Thursday night, avenging its season-opening road loss behind a first-half surge with an 82-66 victory at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.

The Buffs used a pair of lengthy scoring runs to build a 40-8 first-half lead and shifted into cruise control.

“Our energy early was great,” said Milligan coach Bill Robinson, whose team fell 79-68 at Selma on Nov. 3. “Defensively, I thought we played super. We rebounded it and ran and did a lot of really good things. I’m really proud of our guys right now.”

Milligan, which improves to 6-4 on the season, was led by four scorers in double figures.
