Milligan College’s cycling team is on the rise, without a doubt.
And the shining stars have been junior Andrews Stallings and senior Ethan Quisenberry.
The mountain bike campaign ended, with cyclecross wrapping up and the nationals left next month.
“I’m really impressed with how we did this season,” Milligan coach Zack Nave said on Wednesday night. “Both ended up putting out solid performances at nationals. Quisenberry ended up getting back on his bike and finishing, and he still finished 25th.”
Stallings crossed 15th in duel slalom and Quisenberry recovered from crashing to place 25th in downhill at the Mountain Bike Nationals last weekend, at Beech Mountain. The Cyclecross Nationals are Jan. 12 in Banner Elk.
