When a game is played at your tempo, it is a game halfway won. Milligan College proved that on Wednesday night with a convincing 75-53 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over St. Andrews University.
Senior guard Torian Sitton scored a game high 16 points and added six rebounds and, with the win, improves the Buffaloes to 6-5 in the AAC and 12-7 overall, while the Knights (2-13 overall) fell to 1-10 in the league.
“We want get out and run and to speed up the tempo, that’s our game,” Sitton said. “We also want to win the free throw battle and I think we did it on both counts. We have struggled with it most of the season, but we’re getting better. Our aim is upward and we still believe in ourselves and come tournament time, we will be ready.”
