When classes resume in the Elizabethton City School system, students at three schools will be greeted by new principals.
The changes to the school leadership came after vacancies at the elementary schools led to personnel reassignments throughout the system. Director of Schools Ed Alexander said all of the administrator positions would be finalized by next Wednesday, July 24. He was set to meet with a candidate for an assistant principal position at Elizabethton High School Friday afternoon.
John Wright will be the new principal at West Side Elementary. Candace Patai will be the new principal at Harold McCormick Elementary, and David Wright will be the new principal at EHS.
Josh Wandell will remain as East Side Elementary principal and Randy Little as the T.A. Dugger Junior High School principal.
